    The EMEIA FSO Tax & Law Quality team provide support to the EMEIA FSO Tax & Law business to ensure that the business is effectively managing the risk, quality and commercial requirements associated with the dynamic business environment in which we operate in accordance with our Tax policies and procedures and professional standards.

    Quality and risk management is an essential part of our ability to deliver Exceptional Client Service and achieve success in the market -

    while protecting and enhancing our firm's brand and reputation.

    Qualifications :

    Your Key Responsibilities :

  • The role will be varied with elements of project based and ad-hoc work including a mix of technical Quality and project support for the core Tax Quality team.
  • The annual Quality Assessment process for Partners and Associate Partners year end reviews.
  • Assisting with Quality Review Programmes (TQR / LQRs and ACR reviews.)
  • Owning and updating team online resources including; Electronic filing, Intranet landing page and other processes and training materials as required.
  • Drafting communications to be issued to business upon instruction from the TQ team, or messages driven by regulatory change etc.
  • Supporting the business through management of the team mailbox; including responding and / or allocating consultations within the team and provide follow up / status updates as required.
  • Coordinating and monitoring Tax Quality activities within the Service Quality training agenda
  • Supporting to help manage the daily responsibility of running the team
  • Experience and Skills Required :

  • Has the ability to build relationships and trust and to exercise confidentiality and discretion on sensitive matters
  • Has good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) and is able to deal tactfully with the many partners, managers and other staff across the firm
  • Has the ability to balance business enablement with effective risk management
  • High energy, enthusiasm and positive attitude. Has the ability to take the initiative and operate independently to drive activation and enablement
  • Is well organised and methodical
  • Has strong multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and focus on quality.

  • Experience of working effectively in a team with strong interpersonal skills
  • Good networking skills
  • To Qualify for the Role you must have :

  • Knowledge of the Tax (including Legal) practice and an understanding of the changing nature of the Tax landscape in Financial Services would be a strong advantage
  • Knowledge of Quality and Risk Management / Compliance would be an advantage, but is not essential as full training will be given
  • Ideally you'll also have :

  • Working knowledge and use of PACE, BRET and SCORE desirable
  • Excellent IT / Technology skills e.g. proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint.
  • What we look for :

    We are looking for a proactive, driven individual to join the EMEIA FSO Tax & Law Quality team. We will offer you a varied workload and the opportunity to take ownership to support the core team in ensuring that our business is operating in accordance with the Firm's tax policies and procedures and compliant with our professional standards.

    The core team consists of a Partner, Associate Partner, Associate Partner, four senior managers and two managers. The core team are all currently based in the UK.

    In addition to the broader Tax Quality network, you will have the opportunity to build new relationships across the EMEIA FSO Tax & Law business, the wider Risk Management community and the other Service Line Quality teams
