The Role :
The Team Leader leads a scientific team in performing analytical testing, method development and validation using a range of chromatographic techniques GC, LC, and IC, with a wide range of detection approaches including MS and MS / MS.
This involves analysis of a range of test samples (substances, compounds, formulations, investigational or commercial products, raw materials) submitted by clients from the Life Sciences and related industries.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the chromatography field, particularly HPLC and GC, plus experience of the use of a broad range of detectors in a commercial setting.
The Bradford site operates to current GMP and GLP, therefore experience of working in these regulated environments would also be beneficial.
The Team Leader will have scientific / technical skills which mirror those of a senior method development scientist and be able to apply those skills to tasks including routine or regular analysis and analytical problem solving, as well as method development / validation.
In addition, they will have responsibilities in line management and work schedule, and in directing the work of their staff, ensuring effective organisation of resources and time.
They will work closely with their Section Manager to ensure operational targets are met.
