Global Internal Communications Executive

Based in Denham, Buckinghamshire Corporate Head Office (UB9 5HR)

Are you an experienced Internal Communications professional? Do you enjoy working within a fast-paced environment? Are you able to engage and inspire with energy and understand the role of internal communications in driving change?

If the answers are yes, then you may be the person we are looking for to join our Global Corporate Affairs Team as a Global Internal Communications Executive.

To be successful in this role, you will be a versatile, creative communications professional who can work with colleagues across the organisation at all levels and support the Global Internal Communications Manager to deliver global communications plans on a wide range of subjects.

The Role :

The overall responsibility of the Global Internal Communications team is to oversee internal communication for IHG globally, predominantly with corporate offices around the world but also hotels and, increasingly, with owners themselves.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Write internal communications plans for projects across the business
  • Write and publish content for a variety of channels for our 350,000 colleagues globally
  • Manage content on the intranet newsroom, to include publishing, monitoring and measurement
  • Support on global internal communications projects and campaigns
  • Support with writing for senior leaders in the business such as announcements and scripts
  • Manage the production of collateral and content for news channels working with agencies
  • Support on digital / video projects including managing crews and drafting briefs
  • Delivering results communications across the company as a member of the team every quarter
  • Help manage the electronic editorial calendar
  • Help manage global team calls and produce agenda / minutes
  • Profile :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience preferable within a corporate communications team or agency preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Expert in PowerPoint and other presentation formats / programmes, very strong expertise in Word and Excel
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organisation effectively and respectively
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and juggle multiple projects
