Outline of role

A Superdrug Assistant Manager’s role in a Family Store is all about delivering an exceptional shopping experience through your people.

You will need to create a day to day working environment that is warm, supportive and friendly. You will use your great delegation skills to get the job done.

No day will ever be the same so it is real think on your feet stuff!

You will work alongside your Store Manger to lead and motivate your team to beat sales and service targets. Combined with this, you will use your local competitor knowledge to ensure you maximise sales opportunities and make it a friendly place to shop.

Your store will be visited by large volumes of customers all with their own shopping needs! Supporting your Store Manager, you will ensure you have the right products available to make customer visits memorable and guarantee their return.

It’s a great experience that will prepare you for even bigger challenges. Superdrug Assistant Managers are extremely important to us, we recognise that you are our Store Managers of tomorrow.

We will actively develop your skills and offer real career progression supported by our excellent in-house training and Apprenticeship qualifications.

Person specification

To come on board as a Superdrug Assistant Manager in a Family Store you will have the following experience :

  • Retail Supervisor / Assistant Management experience within a fast moving high street discount retailer
  • Supporting in the delivery of exceptional customer service
  • Coaching and developing a team to deliver higher standards and results
  • Managing / supervising a team of 10+ people
  • Understanding of retail Key Performance Indicators; sales, profit & loss and service
  • Success in this role will enable you to take your next step with us, as we have a strong desire to promote from within and reward the highest achievers.
