Becoming a Senior or Principal Civil Engineer with Capita Real Estate & Infrastructure :

Capita are looking for an ambitious engineer to join our civil engineering team within our Real Estate & Infrastructure division.

The role will involve working on a number of interesting engineering led projects in aviation, industrial and residential sectors.

The role offers an opportunity to take responsibility for projects in strong multi-disciplinary team on small and large projects with a route to a senior role in the future.

About the job :

You will be based in our modern central London office working with a multi-talented team who have a relaxed and professional working culture (No ties most of the time).

We are all experts in our own way so we work together to provide the best service to our clients in the most direct and open fashion possible.

You will be responsible for running and supporting projects, although you will not have any direct line management responsibilities when you start you will still supervise less senior members of staff and be tasked with growing the team in the long term.

Your real focus will be to provide calculations, drawings and support on major projects for Capita. One of these will be related to the expansion of Luton Airport so any aviation engineering experience would be a major positive but not an essential requirement.

In order to be considered for this position you must be an established Civil Engineer. The bulk of your work will revolve around the design of roads, drainage and earthworks but as you know there is plenty more work to do as an Engineer.

Your ability to manage stakeholders, set expectations and meet deadlines will be what wins you this job. You do not need to be a Chartered Engineer to be considered but that kind of professional develop is always well appreciated and will of course allow you to take more responsibility and senior roles as your career grows with us.

What you will do in short :

  • Civil Engineering Design, primarily roads, drainage and earthworks.
  • Technical project lead
  • Represent the business at client and design meetings
  • Your experience will include in short :

  • Experience of delivering civil and infrastructure engineering design solutions relating to buildings.
  • Experience of drainage design and approvals.
  • Knowledge of the design of highways and associated approvals
