As Solutions Architect you will be a member of the Technology & Change Service, playing a lead part in the development of these plans.
ensuring proposed solutions provide best value whilst also ensuring a technical fit in line with the North Yorkshire County council ICT Strategy and Enterprise Architecture.
During the course of your work you will often find yourself working with business areas and / or technologies which are new to you and as such it is important that you have an inquisitive mind, drawing on a range of sources to understand the problem and determine appropriate solutions.
You should also be capable of working independently, seeking to find answers to complex problems. You will however be part of a team that supports business change across the authority with a range of experience where discussion of ideas and sharing of knowledge is encouraged.
You will be responsible for managing and organising the workload of another solution analyst within a wider team of business change agents.
You will need to demonstrate excellent client facing skills and show that you have experience of working with the business to analyse their requirements and propose suitable technical solutions.
This should include consideration for the timeliness, cost and quality of the solution, as well as ensuring conformance to standards and legislation.
You will also have a broad technical understanding of information systems in areas such as data, applications, software, infrastructure and security.
