A consultancy that helps large businesses who turnover more than 10 million pounds to increase their profit margins by identifying savings through company overhead analysis, streamlining processes and managing supplier relationships.
Clients include Itsu, Mazda and Timpsons.
This is a 3 month internship paying £1,250 per month with the intention of converting to a permanent job paying £20,000 - £25,000.
How can you expect to spend your day?
You will join the company to provide administrative and general business support which will make this a great internship for anyone interested in growing businesses, consulting work or an entrepreneurial type who could one day see themselves starting their own company.
Tasks you can expect to be responsible for include :
Daily management of the Director’s emails, ensuring he’s aware of any meetings or important events.
Help arrange appointments with clients.
Assist with producing recurring quarterly reviews for each client job.
Assist with collating reports from freelancers and contractors to ensure all vital work they’ve produced is well documented and accessible for clients and internal staff.
Help keep information on the company CRM system up to date as this is a corner stone of the business in storing key information on each client campaign.
Offer project management support, ensuring any client queries are being resolved swiftly.
Help determine which areas of work will be charged to the client and which will not.
Manage supplier contracts through to renewal e.g. supplier of an ingredient to Itsu or electricity to Timpsons.
General team admin such as searching through emails or databases to find key info or an important email.
Make sure the freelance team are following business processes closely and that the results make sense to the client.
Keeping emails and shared documents up to date and live on Google Docs, and Zoho CRM.
Help with preparatory work for the company director when attending client appraisal meetings.
Desired skills, experience and personality :
Educated to degree level, subjects involving process led work or data analysis would be a bonus.
The primary requirement is a positive attitude to work, someone eager to learn new skills and throw themselves into this internship in order to get the most of it.
A high level of organisation is a must in this position.
This internship really suits a recent graduate interested in efficiencies, processes or business on a more general level.
Able to prioritise workload when required.
A business minded graduate who isn’t looking for a 9-5 job and clock off but more interested in taking as much from this internship as possible by fully engaging into the business.
Good level of numeracy.
Working knowledge of Excel is preferred, the more advanced the better.
Comfortable working for a small company where the majority of the team work remotely.
Previous office or business experience is preferred but not required.
