About this role

The Business Development Manager (BDM) isresponsible for leading Sales and increasing revenue in the SpecificApplications Areas in Software Defined Radio (SDR) aligned with our strategy inin Aerospace & Defence, Academic & Commercial Wireless industrysegments across the EMEIA region.

Primarily a customer facing expert in thespecific SDR Application Areas, you will be responsible for creating requiredcredibility with customers and driving execution through Customer EngagementProcess.

In this role, the successful BDM will work with Account Managers andInside Sellers to focus on key target accounts. Working with Market DevelopmentManagers, System Engineers, Field Marketing and Corporate Marketing, you willensure that NI captures significant market share and sustainable higher growthin these areas.

BDM’s secondary responsibility is to provide customer andindustry / area insight back into NI’s planning process and influence thestrategy

  • Develop and execute an Applications Plan in thedefined SDR Application Areas that increases the opportunities, revenue and ourmarket share in these defined Application Areas.
  • Identify target accounts and customers for thedefined Application Areas in EMEIA region and work to increase revenue throughCustomer Engagement Process.
  • Work to secure key initial wins in the targetedApplication Areas to understand, create and validate Go-to-Market strategies.
  • Close opportunities in the Application areas bycoordinating requirements, providing direction and inputs across functions andprioritizing system engineering and support resources.
  • Identify, recommend and develop new StrategicPartnerships to help complete and deliver solutions for the Applications Areas.
  • Actively engage Account & Inside Sellers andincorporate Application plans in the Account plans.
  • Establish NI Leadership and branding in theApplication Areas by working with different teams to create right expertise tocapture significant market share and sustain high growth.
  • Understand, develop and maintain the competitivelandscape and educate internally and externally our value proposition.

  • You have Strong Sales & Business Acumen andCustomer Focus
  • You have expertise of Software Defined Radio, SDRApplications, basic knowledge of RF, Communication, Wireless and are knowledgeableabout aerospace & defence, academic and commercial wireless markets.
  • You have strong analytical, project management andplanning skills.
  • You have a desire to learn and develop expertise innew areas, technologies and customer applications in SDR.
  • Experience with NI Software and Hardware, LabVIEWand Opensource Software is advantageous
  • You can discuss and present your ideas withinternal and external stakeholders concisely and influence various stakeholdersto achieve results.
