The role requires the sales person to become a Trusted Advisor within the Cath lab since either the salesperson or the TS (Technical Specialist) presence is essential at all procedures to give technical assistance during the procedure.
This technical assistance involves using a programmer to program all devices whilst speaking to the clnican and physiologists about their standardisation.
To give accurate feedback to the physician so he can in turn ensure the equipment is correctly placed with a favourable patient outcome.
Good communication skills are absolutely crucial and confidence in the products is essential.
The CRM sales person needs to have an ability to converse effectively, empathise and understand patients’ needs pre operatively, intra operatively and post operatively so that the implant can be as successful as possible.
These skills need to be consistent in all accounts to ensure optimal outcomes for the patient and physician alike. These skills are key to ensuring best outcomes for this advanced technology and therefore high sales.
Experience working in The Cath lab or Cardiology is highly advantageous although not critical for this role. A proven track record in sales is crucial for this role.
Develop further as professional sales rep by acquiring working knowledge and selling techniques. Able to tackle a variety of issues, general knowledge in medical device industry (BSC and competitors).
Visit customers and / or potential customers of Boston Scientific on a regular and planned basis to promote products and services to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets, as agreed with the Manager.
Manage existing and acquire new customers in the assigned territory under general supervision of the Manager.
With limited instructions of Manager, plan and develop the market for our existing and new products according with divisional goals and objectives, through execution, while optimize available tools (consignment, etc).
Provide ongoing technical training and support to customers / patients directly
Cultivate wide range of business relationships with hospital management, purchasing department and hospital staff.
Attend meetings, conferences and exhibitions as required to promote Boston Scientific products and services.
Analyze and report to the Manager and / or others (monthly & year basis) the market and business feedback by using all available support tools.
To represent Boston Scientific values and integrity.
Upon request may lead a project team of moderate scope.
Key Attributes & Experience :
Proven success in sales; likely to have 1-2 years’ sales experience, ideally gained within implantable medical devices, within Cath lab environment.

Patient & able to adapt communication style appropriate to patient and medical staff

Ability to travel : role likely to involve approx. Initial training may involve several weeks away from home.
