In this role, you have the opportunity to work at a world class manufacturing site, taking responsibility for the manufacturability of new products and their implementation.
You are responsible for
Work with Engineers to bring a product from the innovation stage to mass production environment
Ramp up production equipment to meet the specified efficiencies and quality targets
Develop specifications for, prototype, and evaluate design concepts for a wide range of processes implementations; ensure all process, usability, quality, and safety aspects are considered to deliver robust, capable solutions in production;
Work in cross-functional design reviews for NPI to lead DFX and P-FMEAs;
Work with Equipment Engineers, Product Development, and supply base to develop, characterize, and validate robust and capable processes for production
Develop clear documentation for production use and knowledge management.
Calculate CAPEX requirements for projects.
Identify risks to project execution, identify and manage project dependencies and critical path activities.
Drive Root Cause Analysis and develop corrective action plans.
Prepare detailed project summaries and present to key senior stakeholders.
You are a part of a team of 7 process engineers, reporting into the Process Engineering Manager. This position is based in Glemsford, Suffolk and will work Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Experience in New Product Development and / or Industrialisation of high volume consumer goods
Must have worked on capital equipment projects for either NPI or lifecycle management.
Ability to effectively present and communicate information to management, peers, suppliers and customers.
Experience in a dynamic, fast paced manufacturing environment using pragmatic problem solving skills.
Sense of urgency, results orientated, self-motivated, drive and initiative and can do’ attitude.
