An Electrically biased maintenance engineer is required for a large manufacturing company based in the Black Country area.
Duties include providing reactive, TPM and PPM to a range of steel processing lines including slitting lines, blanking lines, decoiling lines, power presses, overhead cranes and all associated machinery and equipment.
Permanent role working a three shift system. Salary is negotiable dependent on experience with additional benefits including call out and production bonuses payable
Full duties include - Providing 70 / 30 electrical / mechanical maintenance to a wide range of steel processing lines including slitters, blanking presses, decoilers and overhead cranes
Identifying and root cause analysis of minor faults on Allen Bradley controls (contract control engineers are responsible for repairing major faults)
Carrying out electrical repairs to switches, lights, contactors, relays etc. Some basic fault finding and repair of gearboxes, motors, hydraulics and pneumatics
Reading schematics and detailed engineering drawings
Review new plant, production lines and equipment
Maximise plant uptime by ensuring all repairs are completed efficiently
Ensuring all breakdowns are recorded, analysed and actioned through all team members
Participate in improvement activities to enhance business performance
Ordering of spares and replacement parts for both present and future needs, using the in house computer system
To have flexibility towards support outside of normal working hours if the business requires it
Applicants will be required to have a 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations certificate. The position offers the chance to join a team within a rapidly growing industry, with excellent career development prospects
Permanent position working a three shift system of mornings, afternoons and nights
6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm / 10pm - 6am rotating Monday to Friday. 42 hours per week
Salary is negotiable dependent on experience
