Surgical Specialties DCD

Applications are invited to appoint to the Surgical Specialties Services Divisional Clinical Director for a period of up to 3 years.

Candidates for this appointee must have experience from either working in the division or very closely alongside the division as the post-

holder will need to be able to lead credibly on divisional strategy, and liaise with academic counterparts. The appointee will provide clinical leadership in relation to our cancer pathways and services.

They will be committed to the on-going improvement of patients’ experience, to safe and effective interdisciplinary working and to achieving outstanding outcomes for this patient group.

Working closely with the Divisional Manager, he or she will bring skills and experience in leadership, innovation and collaboration to address the significant financial challenges common to all NHS services and will ensure that the Division continues to thrive.

The appointee will be paid an allowance of £ 20,340 per annum and will be required to work up to 5PAs, agreeing a new job plan with the Medical Director
