Achallenging and exciting opportunity to join Barclaycard as a Senior SalesManager (VP Grade) within Barclays Partner Finance’s (BPF) business,specifically the Retail sector.

This role is itinerant and requires mobilitythroughout the country as well as regular presence within our Cardiff location.

BPF is one of the UK's largest providers of point-of-sale finance to consumersthrough a network of clients in the Motor, Retail and Leisure sectorsthroughout the UK.

As a Senior Sales Manager within BarclaysPartner Finance (BPF) you will be responsible for exploring, designing andimplementing a growth strategy.

You’ll be part of the Retail Franchise Growthteam targeting major corporate clients within the markets that we operate andexploring industries that we don’t.

You’ll be promoting and implementing a widerange of POS finance products available through BPF and helping to develop newand innovative capabilities to maintain BPF’s position as a leader in itsindustry.

You will also work closely with Product Owners and subject matterexperts across all facets of the business to provide requirements and feedbackfrom clients and ideas for enhancements / developments.

An understanding of the POS Finance industryis beneficial but in-depth knowledge of large corporate sales and strategy isrequired.

You will operate at a suitable level to be comfortable / confident withboard level stakeholder engagement; internally and externally.

Be able todemonstrate usage of those stakeholder skills to leverage bank-wide engagementto deliver a collective value to the client.

What you’ll need

  • Adopt a creative out of the box’ approach to set BPF engagements and tenders above thecompetition
  • Deliver salestargets and incremental opportunities in new client acquisition, focusing onmajor / corporate sized clients with finance sales of £50m p / a whilst meetingrequired return hurdles
  • Develop decisionmaker’ level client relationships and build credibility through a commitment todelivering excellent service and helping them to succeed
  • Deliver againstteam, client-based and personal objectives as agreed
  • Own and managethe identification, proposal, and delivery of client specificrequirements / opportunities; ensure that implementation is handled efficiently,effectively;
  • within agreed timescales and quality controls

  • Identify clienttraining needs and deliver for all clients as part of any set-up phase, newstore openings, or changes in regulatory or compliance requirements
  • Positively manageany client underperformance through a process of analysis, planning and clientnegotiation to achieve agreed remedial activity
  • Work with group-widecolleagues pan-geographies to establish a network of contacts
  • Adhere to pricingpolicies, governance process, and applicable compliance
  • Convincingcommunicator quick-thinking, articulate and self-confident
  • Proveninfluencing and negotiation skills
