We are recruiting a Despatch Manager at our strategic Stockport site which has undergone a significant investment programme over the last 5 years.
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the successful applicant will be a key driver in delivering Safety, People, Quality, Service and Cost performance targets within the Despatch Team.
This will be delivered through your ability to build high performance teams who embrace a culture of continuous improvement based on team development and individual learning.
You will be responsible for a £5.3 million despatch budget.
This key role has 7 Shift Managers reporting directly into you and indirectly a team of approximately 125 colleagues covering a 24 / 7 operation working shifts.
This consists of the main distribution warehouse and a distribution depot both based at Stockport. They will be expected to lead, motivate and develop the team to ensure that the customer is delivered a quality product on time and in full.

Previous experience of working in a fast pace unionised warehouse / despatch environment is essential. You must also be of graduate calibre.
