We are looking for a HR Advisory Team Leader UK HR business line.

To support delivery of an integrated, pragmatic and reliable HR service consistent with that of an employer of choice’ brand and the HR strategy.

To proactively role model, through personal example of attitude, behaviour and values amongst team, peer group and employee base and become a trusted advisor.

To manage the HRC team to ensure timely and accurate processing, high attention to detail, customer service approach.

  • What this job involves

  • To manage the workload of the HRC team to ensure that deadlines are met for HRSS, Payroll and Finance.
  • To continue to provide hands on delivery of HRC activities as needed to ensure accurate and on time delivery.
  • To take the lead on managing, processing and co-ordinating all HR transactions and incoming mail to central inbox, ensuring all responses and actions are taken within agreed timescales.
  • To be the HRC for HR related and highly sensitive transactions using confidentiality and discretion to ensure data is not disclosed inappropriately.
  • To act as first line support to employees with queries regarding their employment and HR policies and processes, responding promptly and accurately.
  • To take thoughtful steps to ensure the service we deliver goes beyond the underlying process.
  • To take responsibility for ensuring that employee folders and files are set up and saved accordingly through audits and spot checks.
  • To take responsibility for a high quality and control on all activities and documentation working with the team, Payroll, Finance, HRSS or managers to achieve this.
  • To manage SOX and other compliance audits ensuring team operates in a way consistent with needs of compliance requirements.
  • To manage the HRC monthly processes and ensure they are completed on time and accurately including but not limited to end of probation, absence, sick pay deductions, fixed term contracts, driver and backcheck process, visa requirements, HRC Bible and Connect updates.
  • To be the guardian of continuous improvement; creating, maintaining and launching policies, processes and templates as required.
  • To work with HRSS and Payroll teams on the improvement and development of HR administrative processes in order to maintain an efficient and effective HR support service to the business.
  • To act as a liaison between HRC team and Pan EMEA HR function to ensure alignment and consistency of approach where possible.
  • To manage all flexible working requests to decision and provide change details to HRCs
  • To proactively manage long term or repetitive absence including OHP referrals and GIPP cases in conjunction with C&B and track using ER Tracker.
  • To monitor individuals who require visas (whether sponsored or not) via Fragomen / legal advisers.
  • To manage the secondment process and associated administration.
  • To act as main point of contact for wider UK HR team; agreeing in advance annual projects to be co-delivered such as WFP, graduate assessments and onboarding, graduate NQ process, promotions, SRB and any other projects as necessary.
  • To act as first line responder to issues in respect of the team and work to resolve swiftly and positively with the involvement of your line manager as when applicable.
  • To take lead on key projects and manage project workload across team including annual projects, family leave, ER cases, restructures / redundancy / change programmes and TUPEs as required by the HRBP's.
  • To contribute to the Monthly HR Insights Report ensuring that HR Operations slides are up to date with ongoing project work.
  • To report to line manager on activity rates, accuracy and performance of team on a monthly basis.
  • To contribute to the achievement of the HR strategy and business plan objectives, through the provision of pro-active HR support, ensuring high levels of customer service at all times.
  • To actively maintain UK legislative knowledge.
