We’re looking for kind, caring and compassionate people who really want to make a difference to join our Home First team.
We are recruiting to a number of part time Care Assistant roles, providing a service for people in their own homes.
As a Care Assistant you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that support people to leave hospital earlier after an illness or fall that has affected their confidence and the ability to carry out activities of daily living.
We work with people for a short period of time (5 10 days) to promote their confidence and maximise their independence.
You will ideally have some experience in a care environment, although this is not essential, and an NVQ / CQF level 2 or equivalent qualification or be willing to undertake training to complete this whilst in the role.
Effective communication skills are key as this role mainly involves face to face work with vulnerable adults as well as communicating with allied health workers and other professionals.
You’ll also have the ability to respond flexibly to changing needs, be able to work effectively as part of a team and to work without direct supervision.
In return you’ll receive a regular working pattern, full ongoing training, and the support to complete QCF Level 2 in Care.
A uniform will also be provided. In addition the benefits of working for Bristol City Council including great rates of pay, paid holidays, mileage allowance and pension.
A current driving licence and provision of a motorised vehicle is essential for this post, therefore business insurance will be required.
Various shifts are available between the hours of 7am and 10pm, including weekend working and Bank Holidays.
