An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and proactive procurement specialist to become the Procurement Process Lead / P2P Specialist for the largest building materials supplier globally.
You will be reporting to the Head of Procurement in a team of 4 to implement changes to their processes to provide a more efficient service.
This role can be based Doncaster, Manchester or Cheshire and requires travel around the UK.
You will be responsible for :
Promoting the use of SAP and new software solutions to support efficiency of invoice processing (P2P) in the Finance department.
Critical to success will be the formation of excellent internal stakeholder relations, in order to ensure that purchasing and receiving disciplines are adhered to at each location.
Deliver training to increase process knowledge and support the adoption of best practice.
Prepare supplier / sites / internal stakeholder management metrics reporting (daily, weekly and monthly).
Engage with suppliers / relationship owners / Procurement function as needed to assist in achieving the team's objectives
Report achievements and drive improvement via KPI’s and metrics
To help drive and implement significant process efficiency improvements through digitalisation across a range of new back-off software solutions
Ensure Procurement data integrity of the company's SAP business system.
Carry out SAP analysis to proactively identify how to improve P2P performance and reduce administration.
Review procedures and other documentation including training guides to ensure they remain current.
Assist with continuous process improvement identification and implementation.
Play a pivotal role in leading and assisting in the progression of a number of business improvement projects geared towards improving financial control and promoting efficiencies within the business.
You will need to have :
Expert SAP skills and strong knowledge of Procurement
Strong communication and relationship building skills
Very good attention to detail and highly analytical
An ambitious & proactive character will be important
Able to demonstrate a high level of stakeholder management and engagement experience
A change agent and able to self-manage
Able to work on multiple projects at multiple speeds
A strong negotiator and solution provider
Full UK driving license
