We are currently looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to join our Health Finance Team, based out of Slough.

The role of a Commercial Finance Manager is to provide a high level of financial support, challenge and control for the UK Sales Teams.

You will be given full ownership and accountability in helping to drive the success of some of the world’s biggest brands, as well as the opportunity to establish yourself as a true finance business partner.

Responsibilities :

  • Business partner with Sales to develop and build strong relationships with your customer teams, ensuring that you are fully involved in their financials.
  • Develop and review joint business plans made between RB and our external customers to ensure that opportunities are mutually beneficial and drive the correct behaviours.
  • Review any ad-hoc / incremental investment opportunities to assess and improve profitability, and provide challenge to ensure that financials and assumptions are robust
  • Pre and post promotional evaluation, providing deep insight and challenge to financials.
  • Review and challenge monthly customer forecasts, driving accuracy of the forecasting process.
  • Proactively highlight future performance concerns and opportunities to the Sales & Finance Leadership teams and account teams, taking an active role in planning any gap close activity.
  • Perform key tasks within the commercial Finance team to ensure that reporting is both timely & accurate.
  • Provide management with relevant financial information as requested.
  • Monitor monthly trade spend to ensure correct accrual bookings at month end.
  • Manage debt and customer deductions, ensuring that overdues are kept to a minimum.
  • Complete ad-hoc financial analysis of UK management projects to ensure sound financials are behind the decision-making process
  • Work within the team to develop new tools & systems to improve the return on trade investment
  • Manage and develop 2 direct reports ensuring that the Sales function receive the right level of financial input, support and challenge.
  • Requirements :

  • ACA or CIMA with strong academic background
  • Strong commercial awareness and previous experience of business partnering in a cross functional environment gained within FMCG or Retail.
  • Driven to take on additional responsibility in an organisation that provides a high level of autonomy with ambition to progress your career within commercial finance.
  • Proven track record of building relationships outside of the finance function with well developed communication skills
  • Confident at the challenging the status quo and both influencing and challenging decisions at a senior management level
  • Multi-tasking need to be organised, highly efficient and able push multiple projects forward at the same time
  • Entrepreneurial help the commercial team develop new initiatives / spot and resolve problems
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience of scenario modelling
