Job Description As the Pharmacy Porter, you will provide a medicines portering service of the highest quality to all departments within the hospital.

Shifts : This could be Monday Friday; 9am to 6pm. There are also Saturday morning and Bank Holiday shifts available.

We offer an attractive and competitive hourly rate, which is £9.50. Duties & Responsibilities

  • To provide portering services from pharmacy to all wards and departments of the hospital.
  • To work closely with the Senior Pharmacy Technicians to ensure that all deliveries of drugs reach their
  • correct destination promptly and efficiently.

  • To always carry the pharmacy porter’s bleep and radio and respond to any requests in a timely, polite
  • and courteous manner.

  • To understand the Security and Confidentiality procedures pertaining to the transport and storage of
  • drugs throughout the hospital.

  • To remain updated on the hospital procedures on Health and Safety, Fire and Evacuation
  • To maintain the IV Fluid Store Areas according to hospital procedures.
  • To appear professional and courteous at all times, whilst providing support to departments Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience of working as a Porter is desirable
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
  • To be successful in this role you must be a team player, always willing to assist where needed to ensure
  • the safe and smooth running of the facility

  • You will have a very high standard of customer service, always going above and beyond for our patients,
  • visitors as well as colleagues.
