Job Description Summary

Title : Process Transfer Scientist

Reports to : Head of Manufacturing

Based at : Livingston, Scotland

Job Purpose :

Facilitate introduction of new processes and equipment within the production department

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities :

  • Responsible for training production staff on new processes and equipment
  • Become proficient in existing production equipment and processes
  • Assist with training of production staff in existing production equipment and processes
  • Prepare training matrix for production staff and identify area’s for improvement and to development a practical training strategy
  • Draft SOPS for all new equipment to facilitate training and standardise equipment cleaning, step up and operation
  • Assist with departmental change controls and deviations
  • Assist with drafting batch documents
  • Trend process KPI’s and use to monitor production performance and to measure effectiveness of process improvements
  • Participate in all aspects of manufacturing
  • Ensure all SOPs accurately reflect best practice
  • Ensure cGMP standards are maintained
