Description : Applications are invited for this permanent post based in the Cardiology Department, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
We are looking to recruit a dynamic, competent and motivated individual to be part of our busy and friendly CRM team. The successful applicant will primarily be working within this CRM team in the more complex area of CIEDs and EP with the training of more inexperienced staff a requirement.
Although the post is based in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI), there will be occasions when the post holder is required to work in the Community Hospitals within NHSG and occasionally visiting Orkney and Shetland for island clinics.
a 7 storey, state of the art facility housing a new Coronary Care Unit, a HDU, and Accident & Emergency Dept and general in-patients.
The department is staffed by 20 cardiac physiologists and 6 assistant technical officers. We have 2 catheter labs, where a comprehensive range of procedures are performed : EP (inc 3D mapping), angiography, PCI (including 24 / 7 pPCI, imaging, CTO, OCT etc) PPM, ICD and CRT implants, valvuoplasty, rotablation and a plan to start TAVI.
In addition there is a full array of nuclear cardiology, PET and MRI investigation facilities.
Ideally the individual will have experience in electrophysiology but training will be given if required.
