About the role

We have full-time and part-time hours available throughout the Wirral with contracts in Care homes, Nursing homes, Learning Disabilities and Mental Health.

Minimum pay on the Wirral is £8 an hour. Staff will be representing Sugarman Health at all times and some of the responsibilities of a Healthcare Assistant / Support Worker include :

  • To provide personal care where required helping patients shower and get dressed, helping people eat etc.
  • Administering treatments to patients
  • Using equipment to lift and move patients
  • To promote independence and help residents deal with problems
  • Communicating effectively and building relationships with service users
  • Maintaining records, such as care plans, where necessary
  • Skills & experience

  • Minimum 6 months experience as a Healthcare Assistant / Support Worker
  • Caring and compassionate
  • Cheerful and friendly
  • Willing to be hands-on with patients
  • Communication skills, including listening
  • Organisation and observational skills
