The Role

As Business Change Specialist, you will own, plan, develop and deliver successful business change activities for key projects and programmes, including communications, training, organisation design, and business readiness.

You’ll be the main point of contact for the end-to-end business change, collaborating with stakeholders from all levels and disciplines to define change requirements and ensure effective development and delivery throughout the business.

Your Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment where change involves both a willingness to challenge the status quo and the diplomacy to meet people where they’re at.

You have a deep knowledge of the business change discipline and best practices, including experience of introducing a major business and process change (both cultural and technical) in a large complex organisation.

You have a knack for understanding project objectives and scope and distilling those into key insights for business impact.

You’re skilled at facilitating workshops to get the most out of a room of cross-functional leads, and then are strong at documenting and mapping the resulting processes.

With a relentless customer focus, you identify, manage and maintain business change risks and issues and accurately report the status of project activities to the business head and other Portfolio stakeholders.

Key to this role is excellent stakeholder management skills and a team-based view of success. You need to be a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision, and comfortable taking on a high degree of responsibility.

You’ll be highly articulate with effective written, interpersonal and analytical skills. Strong influencing skills and attention to detail will be essential, along with the ability to facilitate an innovative working environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop, deliver and own business readiness and implementation elements of the business change framework for a project e.
  • g. change impact assessment, training needs analysis or communications approach

  • Identify all project business change, training or communications requirements and develop an approach and plan to deliver these effectively.
  • Deliver (or manage the delivery of) business readiness, organisation design, communications and training activities to the impacted audiences applying proven approaches and piloting innovative approaches where operational norms require improvement
  • Identify, manage and maintain business change risks and issues
  • Think strategically, taking into account business-as-usual activities, other change projects that impact the same teams and the overall Retail vision
  • Manage complex business change challenges, forming potential actions to help solve problems.
