Position Summary : Provide support for desktop operations and local site server systems.System administration, development, security and support of all relevant infrastructure. Main Duties :

  • Provide user and administrative support for PCs and peripherals including user account management.
  • Provide technical guidance to users and management for PC-related issues and queries
  • Participate in projects or teams and directed by the Manager / Supervisor.
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of all relevant hardware and software.
  • Configuration, installation & deployment of all PC’s and PC related peripherals.
  • Support and develop local CNC / DNC manufacturing systems.
  • Support and administration of telephone systems.
  • Ensure appropriate PC-related procedures are enforced.
  • Perform daily IT operations tasks.
  • Develop a working knowledge of department specific applications.
  • Keep abreast of technical aspects of PC-LAN computing environment.
  • Identify opportunities and recommend solutions for improving service, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Log into and use telephone and computer based Service Desk system to record all support activities.
  • Contribute to meeting the departmental key performance indicators.
  • Provide training to European community as required.
  • Qualifications

    Essential Previous Experience :

  • 1 year experience of desktop support
  • Essential Qualifications & Education :

  • Degree
  • Up-to-date professional certification in the relevant technical area
  • Key Knowledge & Skills :

  • Good knowledge of PC hardware and associated peripherals
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft O / S, Servel and Desktop
  • Ability to use technical documentation and diagnostic tools to solve hardware and software problems
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good judgement and strong analytical skills as well as follow-up and organisational skills
