Title : Contract Project Engineer Rail
Day rate : £225-275 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract Length : 7 to 8 months
Our client is actively searching for a Contract Project Engineer to join their team in London. The organisation is acting as the Principal Contractor for Network Rail on a project in West London.
The individual :
A recognised degree in an Civil Engineering
Ideally Chartered or close to chartership
Temporary works coordination training
Practical work experience in design engineering or relevant equivalent experience in allied types of engineering sufficient to demonstrate competence as a trained engineer.
Understanding of industry or regulatory codes and standards and design criteria pertinent to the particular engineering discipline, including specifically standards and procedures relevant to the UK rail industry including Network Rail Company and Railway Group standards.
Understands the interdisciplinary interfaces between own discipline and other railway disciplines.
Knowledge of construction methodologies and testing / commissioning activities relevant to own discipline in a railway environment.
Knowledge of CDM regulations and CSM practices for identification and management of hazards in a railway environment.
Skill in oral and written communication.
This contract position falls within IR35, so the individual will be on PAYE on a rate of £225 £275 per day. The contract will last for circa 7 8 months.
