We have exciting new opportunities for experienced Shift Supervisors to lead our manufacturing teams. Reporting directly to the Shift Managers, they will execute the manufacturing and delivery schedules through management of people and resources, ensuring material is delivered on time, in full, to the required specification.
Continually improve quality, whilst reducing costs and lead time. These positions are on Full Continental Shifts, based at our Waunarlwydd site in Swansea.
Main Responsibilities :
Safety must Promote and contribute to an accident free workplace by ensuring full compliance with Timet Safe Systems of Work and ensuring safety performance measures are achieved or exceeded.
Assign day to day tasks to operators.
Manage flow of product through manufacturing to minimise lead-time and maximise machine and people utilization.
Analyse and report daily OEE performance against production plan, taking necessary remedial action when required.
Support shop floor personnel with problem solving (e.g. tooling, fixtures, PPE etc.).
Work with production engineering, quality and design to optimise processes.
Implement and monitor Operator TPM of key processes.
Liaise with Engineering for machine tool servicing and repairs.
Capture down time information and provide solutions to the team.
Promote a culture of process improvement across the team.
Ensure company procedures and policy are adhered to at all times.
Ensure conformance to Timet’s Quality Management System.
Strive for Process excellence in all areas.
Embed standards to maintain and increase the organisation of the workplace.
Identify and implement (where appropriate) cycle and process time reductions.
Identify and action training needs to create a multi-skilled, rotated workforce.
Ability to work to a minimum job role framework.
Conduct HSE and Training audits as directed by the Shift Manager.
Support the area in sub Risk Notifications and Incident Reporting.
Key skills / experience :
Must have leadership experience in a Fast Moving manufacturing environment.
Competent broad range of mechanical engineering and manufacturing skills.
Basic numerical and computer skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyse and make effective decisions, change oriented and keen to promote forward thinking.
Effective team building skills, an effective communicator both verbal and written, Strong interpersonal skills, a persuasive negotiator.
Customer focused both internal and external, committed and enthusiastic, determined to succeed.
A Can do attitude, passionate about moving the business forward.
