UWS Academy is a new professional service whose mission is to support and enhance all aspects of academic endeavour.With a focus on learning and teaching, and researcher development, UWS Academy supports the development of all academic staff members and postgraduate research students through its work with the Doctoral College, the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice, the University's Advance HE-
accredited professional recognition framework sALTiRE, and the delivery of a vibrant programme of CPD events, activities and resources.
We are currently recruiting for two new academic roles within UWS Academy in the areas of Professional Recognition, and Researcher Development.
The successful candidates will be passionate about academic / researcher development, and will bring enthusiasm and an evidence-
driven approach to their role.
The Lecturer : Professional Recognition will have a good honours degree and a PhD / professional doctorate.They will have a working knowledge of the quality enhancement and teaching excellence agendas, and of the UK Professional Standards Framework.
They will be experienced in the design and delivery of academic development provision for academic staff and / or postgraduate research students.
The post holder would also be expected to undertake research and scholarship to ensure their work is research-informed.Applicants must also hold Fellowship or Senior Fellowship of the Advance HE.
