Oakdown House ltd are recruiting for an Individual who is compassionate and hard working for our Activities support worker role to join our team in Burwash Common, East Sussex.

Oakdown House is situated in the quiet town of Burwash Common. It is a residential home for people with profound Physical / Learning Disability, epilepsy, challenging behaviour and has 3 units on site.
At Oakdown we provide a 'resident led' environment, encouraging, and always promoting independence. We are currently looking for a Activities support worker to support a gentleman with an aquired brain injury who is looking for 1 : 1 support for trips offsite.
This will include 'a lads day out' to the banger races, the pub for a pint and a game of pool, shopping and swimming. He enjoys being apart of a team and having task that gives him focus and direction.
This role has a requirement to be gender specific. We are offering : Contract offer;
Monday Swimming and Lunch out
Tuesday 9.30am - 13.30pm
Wednesday - Banger racing (Summer activity)
Sunday - 6 hours activity of own choice
Overtime is available and contract can be increased.
Competitive salary : £8.40 per hour week days / £17,631.20 per annum FTE (additional payment when NVQ Qualified).

To provide a high quality of care and support for people with varying mental health illnesses, profound learning / physical disabilities, Epilepsy, autism and / or behaviours that may challenge.
To deliver the highest possible standards of care and support in a professional manner at all times. Skills / Experience Required :
NVQ / QCF in Health & Social Care Level 2 or more is desirable
