We are looking for an outstanding individual to join our Customer Analytics team and lead a small group of analysts to provide powerful insights that will shape the way Hotels.

com directly communicate with its customers.

What you'll do

A hands-on manager working closely with your team, your responsibilities will include :

  • Implementing a cutting-edge toolkit for A / B testing in CRM, levering external as well as internal expertise (our Product Analytics and Data Science teams) when required
  • Working closely with our Customer Data Science team to embed Machine learning techniques to personalise all aspects of our communications (content, messaging, contact frequency, contact timing )
  • Supporting our ambitious subscriber base growth strategy, evaluating the financial viability of working with external vendors to acquire new and valuable customers
  • Applying advanced analytics techniques to identify optimisation levers for our communication strategy
  • Encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing across brands within Expedia Group
  • Who you are

  • Demonstrated experience of using R (or similar tools) to structure, transform and visualise big data.
  • Strong SQL skills are a requirement - hands on use of big data in large projects using Hadoop, Presto, or Spark a bonus
  • Willing to learn new frameworks and languages required for the task
  • Clear presentation of findings and ability to guide next steps at various points
  • Focus, resilience and great at problem solving. Able to easily continue to find solutions and work towards goals when setbacks / hurdles occur
  • Experience in managing analysts and setting priorities
  • Work Experience and Education Guidelines :

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science or similar and 3+ years working in a role focused on analytics, statistical modelling, data science or similar
  • Solid understanding of online marketing, preferably in a past or current role
  • Experience of the travel industry a bonus
