Position Requirements : REQUIRED SKILLS

REQUIRED SKILLS

A minimum of eight years of experience working on control valves and associated accessories and products.

Ability to become proficient in all factory testing requirements for valves and positioners including testing software and troubleshooting of digital products.

Extensive travel, both domestic and international

Excellent documentation skills regarding service reports and other documentation

Clear, accurate and professional verbal and written communication.

  • Able to work well without supervision and interface well with customers always presenting a positive perception of the company.
  • Proficient computer skills for accessing and navigating various programmes and systems including Microsoft Office, ERP and various other company and database systems.
  • EDUCATION AND OR EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

    Eight years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with Valtek product lines.

    Position Description :

    Provide world-wide technical field support for all Valtek products. Provide technical product support for customers, sales personnel, and Flowserve technicians.

    Capture and record information resulting from customer interaction and field experiences. Provide input and assist with the development of product training tools for internal personnel and external customers.

    Represent Flowserve as the face of the company.

    Accountabilities

    Travel to customer locations. Evaluate, configure, rebuild, repair, and test all Valtek valve, actuator, and positioner products.

    Document details of services in a detailed trip report, and follow up with customers regularly to ensure expectations have been met.

    Provide technical product support to customers, sales personnel, and others via telephone, email, training, etc.

    Assist other Flowserve facilities with local field services, on site assembly, and training.

    Coordinate with sales reps and customers to arrange details of visits and make travel arrangements.

    Collect and record product information resulting from customer interaction and experiences in the field

    Report information using various data collection systems

    Preferences : LANGUAGE SKILLS

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Fluent English speaking. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

    Ability to read, write and interpret business correspondence, procedure manuals, work instructions in English language.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

    Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
