The Swindon site is going through a truly exciting journey. This role will sit on the site leadership team, responsible for all commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Management of all commercial opportunities for the Swindon site, understanding the technical requirements of client and finding appropriate solutions to problems as well as communicating information internally to identify production costs and quote preparation.
  • Direct and manage the efficient transfer of products from client sites, adhering to client requirements and quality standards.
  • Conduct feasibility analysis, evaluation of transfer and manufacturing costs related to technology transfer
  • Coordinate transfer procedures and provide advice and guidance for the manufacturing start up phases.
  • Collaborate with European Business Development in managing new business opportunities in respect with Patheon commercial strategy by assisting with strategy, effective planning of current and new projects, negotiating new orders, defining prices and finalising commercial opportunities.
  • Ensure that technical business projects for the Swindon site are managed effectively and efficiently and that project teams are meeting the required deadlines and milestones.
  • Coordinate the budgeting process and forecast potential revenues based on the scheduling of assigned projects.
  • Direct and manage the resolution of critical issues related to cost, quality and delivery of product to completion, whilst protecting Patheon interests and image.
  • Develop and manage relationships with new and existing clients
  • Effective team / staff leadership and communications in line with GMP requirements and company rules, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure appropriate staff succession, training and development programmes are in place and implemented to assure competency (suitably qualified and experienced personnel) and support the achievement of objectives.
  • Comply with GMP requirements and company rules, policies and procedures.
  • EH&S :

  • Understand emergency procedures and comply with safe systems of work.
  • Ensure compliance with environment, health and safety rules, signage and instructions at all times.
  • Ensure prompt reporting and investigation of all accidents, near misses and breaches of rules.
  • Qualifications / Experience :

  • Degree in engineering, scientific fields and / or Economics.
  • Experience in client management, sales or marketing and in developing long-term business relationships.
  • Experience in Project Management and Technology Transfer of pharmaceutical products.
