You will be responsible for working with your colleagues to manage all technical aspects of the sales cycle, as well as helping to ensure customer satisfaction.
This may involve travel abroad, working with the teams in Switzerland and Germany to provide the best technical solution to prospective clients.
The role requires significant interaction with clients and colleagues. Tasks are varied and primary responsibilities will include :
Develop sales presentations, proposals and demonstrations
Deliver customer presentations and demonstrations of the software
Provide technical advice and support to sales team and customers on all aspects of the software, services and infrastructure both before and after the sale
Advising on software features and how they can be applied to assist in a variety of contexts to clients
Network to identify new business opportunities
Identify proof of concept and present to clients
Prepare and provide input for technical sections of RFPs / RFQs / RFIs
Provide support for internal literature
Report customer feedback
Attend industry events
Fully qualify and understand customers’ specific business needs and apply technical knowledge to meet those needs
Maintain awareness and keep abreast of constantly changing software development and peripherals
Assess, monitor and review upcoming future technologies & innovations within the marketplace and their suitability as future developments items and communicate these to the product team
Handle problems and faults and refer on to specialist technical colleagues;
manage workload in order to organise and prioritise daily and weekly goals
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent
3+ years experience working as a Pre-Sales Engineer ideally in the Digital Banking or Fintech industry
Possess a deep understanding of application servers, development methodologies, operating systems, technical platforms / architecture, and the application workflow lifecycle
Must be able to present himself / herself in a professional manner and possess excellent presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Possess a proven track record of demonstrating software tool solutions and executing successful proof of concept plans to enterprise prospects
Training is likely to be in-house, aimed at giving you comprehensive technical knowledge of solutions. You may also be expected to shadow sales professionals taking responsibility for key clients from time to time.
