Job Overview

As a Reservations Agent you will be responsible for recording and processing all reservation enquiries made by phone, fax or e-

mail efficiently and accurately, maximising sales and room occupancy rates.

Duties and Responsabilities :

  • Answer all reservation requests in a courteous and efficient manner using the principles of Benefit and Feature selling whilst adhering to all standards of the InterContinental London - The O2.
  • Process all transactions of reservations by fax, letter or email where necessary.
  • File and process reservations correspondence.
  • Liaise with Front Office Manager or Finance Manager for all reservations requiring credit approval.
  • Maintain knowledge of special rates / offers / promotions.
  • Monitor reservation levels and inform Managers of current and future occupancy rates.
  • Prepare reports as requested (eg to travel agents, business houses etc).
  • Process payment, time of arrival and any additional information.
  • To do the correspondence for the following days bookings and to adhere to the checklist and ensure complete accuracy.
  • To fully support the sales team by adopting a sales attitude and obtaining leads.
  • What we are looking for

  • Previous experience in reservations / front office or an equivalent combination of education and experience would be ideal.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
  • Problem solving and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in the use of computer.
