This fantastic academy, based in Wolverhampton, is looking to recruit a graduate, with a 2 : 1 or above, to work within their SEN department for the duration of the 2018 / 19 academic year.
As with all primary schools there are a percentage of students that face additional barriers to learning throughout their time in school.
To help over come these hurdles my client school is looking to recruit a psychology graduate to work within the school’s Special Educational Needs department.
This is a full time, term time position and will run for the course of the academic year.
Working closely with the school’s Pupil Support Co-ordinator as a Teaching Assistant you will help evaluate individual pupils learning needs, liaise with parents and staff before forming plans to tackle their specific needs.
You will provide one-to-one support as well as small group sessions to pupils of all ages.
This role calls for a very understanding and sympathetic approach to pupils learning needs. You will need to use all your experience in working with special educational needs to ensure the continued development of the school’s students under your guise.
This role of SEN Graduate Learning Mentor / Teaching Assistant really is a challenging position but one that ultimately should prove to be very rewarding as you see positive developments in the pupils.
