Your Responsibilities :
The Artwork Manager leads a team of globally located Artwork Coordinators in External Supply (ES) who are accountable for the creation of new pack introduction (NPI) and management to the existing site pack ranges using Global Pack Management (GPM) processes, ensuring that market requirements are met in a timely, compliant and cost-effective manner.
The Artwork Manager is responsible for developing consistent ways of working across External Supply for pack management and creation, ensuring implementation within agreed lead-
times and compliance with GMP and EHS requirements.
The Artwork Manager will operate in a matrix environment collaborating between internal supply and artwork teams, External Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMO) and each of the Local Operating Companies (LOC’s).
Key responsibilities :
Managing the global team of ES Artwork Coordinators to ensure the new pack artwork creation and pack changes are produced in accordance within agreed timelines with their aligned customer groups.
Collaborating with ES Supply Managers and other functional areas to ensure that all matters relating to changes are fully discussed, understood and communicated.
Identifying and implementing artwork management process improvements enabling delivery of efficiencies and cost savings.
Collaborating with Procurement Managers to ensure that artwork process and relevant costs are included in the standard supply agreements.
Acting as escalation point between GSK and Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs) for artwork changes and performance management.
Liaising with ES strategy managers and gaining wider visibility in terms of new business development or discontinuation of CMOs and SKUs (Stock Keeping Units).
Ensuring that new GSK CMOs / partners are introduced and trained on aspects related to GSK artwork process.
Ensuring that CMOs have appropriate access to the Artwork Systems and are being supported from technology and training perspectives.
Reporting to Director of Business Operations and Systems in External Supply.
Basic qualifications :
At least 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry, supply chain, logistics or quality management.
Experience of Knowledge of global pack management processes, knowledge of technical requirement for components and finished pack design and creation, familiarity with business roles within External Supply and supply chain, particularly in relation to material and data flow.
Experience working in a regulated and customer focused environment.
Proven skills in issue resolution, with establishing benefits and mitigating risks
Preferred qualifications :
At least 3 years’ experience in artwork management and / or supply chain management.
At least 3 years in managing a team or teams, ideally with remote staff located in more than one location.
Previous experience of operations within in a matrix structure, managing customer / client relationships across multiple locations and cultures
