This role requires exceptionally deep management levelexperience of service management, and a track record of responsive deliverycombined with a strong commercial focus.

This will include excellent leadershipskills and experience, with the ability to motivate staff through a period ofsignificant technological and business change.

The Role

Continuing our success story and taking it to new places,you'll lead a customer focused team that provides and runs the core ITplatforms that underpin the bank.

Specifically, this entails driving a cultureof service excellence and proactivity to deliver quality technology services tothe business, minimise service disruption and to recover services quickly andeffectively when outages do occur.

We'll look to you to provide strategicdirection and influence to all areas of the bank to ensure that they arecompliant with bank and industry.

You'll develop and own the end to end technology servicestrategy and ensure that this remains aligned to business needs and effectivelycommunicated to internal and external stakeholders.

In order to deliver thetechnology service strategy, you will be responsible for implementing industrybest practice (such as ITIL and COBIT) and best of breed technology across thebank, including driving the use of tooling platforms from Microsoft andServiceNow.

The role also manages a number of critical bank suppliers,including Critical Outsource relationships. Significant change is required inthis area to ensure they are aligned to and contribute to our service strategy.

Another key area of the role is to focus on the design anddelivery of all technology platform solutions both internal and cloud hosted.

Working within standards developed in conjunction with our architecturefunction, you will be responsible for high and low level infrastructure andservice design for all bank solutions, and then manage of the implementation ofthese solutions.

This role is also responsible for determining and managing anappropriate risk tolerance in delivering operational services.

The Head ofService Delivery will be instrumental in ensuring that the IT Supply chain meettheir contractual commitments in the delivery of IT operational services toAldermore.

The role supports the Chief Information Officer, which is acertified role in the firm, who is reasonable for taking steps to ensure theareas they are accountable for are managed with appropriate due skill, care anddiligence to comply with PRA and FCA requirements.Specifically

The Person

  • You must have experiencewith delivering service through 3rd parties
  • Detailed knowledge of the SIAM Operating Model, IT infrastructure technologies and Enterprise Architecture concepts
  • Detailed understanding of ITIL V3 service management disciplines within the context of service development and service operations
  • Experience of working in a complex, externally regulated and standards-based corporate environments where ability to work to tight deadlines is important
  • Experience in team leadership, staff performance management, conflict resolution and managing a P&L experience of leading cross functional virtual teams successfully
  • A record of successful technology delivery management aligned to business and cultural change, ideally using Agile techniques and tools
  • Strong operational process management expertise, and experience of ITIL and other service frameworks
  • Excellent influencing, communication and collaboration skills with ability to operate effectively at all level
  • A good knowledge of Risk Management and Controls in a regulated environment, appropriate to Financial Services
  • Experience of working with executives and senior leaders across the bank
  • Broad based knowledge of business practices, processes, tools, techniques and technologies in use across the bank
