This is an exciting opportunity if you are looking to develop a career in Digital data and insight. You will play a key role in developing the business understanding of our online customers, particularly how they browse and shop our website.

From acting as a business partner for the teams (Trading, Digital Marketing, User Experience and Development) to playing an important role in business projects, this role is both varied and demanding.

The range of work will be fast paced. You will need to enjoy working in a dynamic environment and collaborating with a wide range of business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain a deep understanding of digital and online analytics principles.
  • Become an expert in Google Analytics 360 and other Insight Tools to allow us to understand how customers shop and visit our website and the key drivers of sales performance.
  • Support the team in delivering top class analytics and insight to our trading and user experience teams, helping them drive profitable sales growth.
  • Develop our regular reporting to minimise the time and manual intervention it takes to produce, instead enabling time to be focused on understanding the why behind the numbers.
  • Become a key part of the project team to deliver a new digital analytics programme across the business
  • Work closely with the Senior Digital Insight Manager to continue to build a Measurement Programme including Dashboards using Google Analytics Data Studio
  • Work closely with the Senior Digital Insight Manager to help develop our understanding of customer cohorts
  • Qualifications : What we need from you

    What we need from you

  • You will be highly numerate, with the ability to analyse large volumes of data.
  • A natural ability to interpret and articulate key trends and insight from the numbers is essential.
  • Advanced excel skills are a prerequisite for this role.
  • A knowledge of SQL and databases would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given.
  • You also will be expected to become a trusted business expert in the latest developments in Digital Insight, artificial intelligence, techniques and technology.
  • You will need to be a self-starter who is positively restless and inquisitive, with a passion for using insight to drive improvements for our customers and to sell more.
  • It doesn’t stop with the numbers you need to be able to present and share complex data in an engaging and insightful way which can be shared with key business stakeholders.
  • You should be prepared to make considered recommendations and be confident in delivering these, even if they challenge existing business process

  • The role offers numerous routes for progression within Dunelm.Due to the high potential value of the work and projects this role will encompass, it will often offer great exposure to all parts of the business.
  • What do you need to have

  • Previous experience in a high-volume retailer
  • You will be highly numerate
  • The ability to interpret statistical, numerical information and undertake detailed data analysis
  • Advanced spread sheet, database and modelling skills
  • The ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload and work alongside cross functional teams to deliver actionable insights, real ROI data and projects
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain analysis in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience of MS Access, MySQL and other databases would be an advantage
  • A genuine interest in home products and shopper behaviour
