    We are looking for an enthusiastic student to join our User Research team at HomeAway for a period of 6-12 months. In this internship you will gain experience with a variety of research methods such as usability studies (in-

    lab, comparative, iterative, prototype, remote), card sorting, interviews and surveys. You will have the ability to see the impact of your work on the product and learn how research is done in the industry, as well as the opportunity to work with a small and collaborative team with ongoing mentorship from one of our senior user researchers.

    What you’ll do :

  • Assist UX researchers in designing, conducting and analysing results from a variety of research studies, including usability lab studies, remote research, field studies and survey design
  • Work closely with cross-functional product teams to identify research topics, gather stakeholder requirements, and communicate results
  • Contribute towards experimental design and conduct research, employing a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods
  • Communicate results and illustrate suggestions in a compelling and creative way so they are clear to a range of stakeholders
  • Who you are :

  • You are currently studying for a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Information Science, Human Computer Interaction or a related field
  • You have excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workloads in a dynamic environment
  • You have strong communication skills and can effectively deliver recommendations to senior leadership
  • You are a self-starter and results orientated with the ability to work independently
  • You have an interest in user research principles and would enjoy collecting customer feedback which informs design and business actions
  • European language skills, in particular French, German, Spanish or Italian are an advantage, but not essential
