Prosek's London office is looking for an Account Manager to join our expanding team. The Account Manager is expected to not only demonstrate superior media relations skills, but also have the ability to manage multiple projects, and people.

Additionally, as leaders and ambassadors of the firm, Account Managers should mentor and inspire the junior team members and peers.

Responsibilities Administrative

  • Ensure quality assurance for team / account deliverables and oversee team's delivery of these at a consistently strong quality
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills
  • Media Relations

  • Lead your team, working in collaboration with senior managers, to deliver media results for your clients
  • Use personal media contacts to secure effective media results
  • Motivate and mentor junior staff to work effectively with journalists in the best interest of Prosek's clients
  • Participate in and conduct media training sessions and media interviews
  • Ability to pitch an exclusive and co-ordinate media campaign
  • Show an understanding of proactive / reactive media engagement (approach and response)
  • Lead by example with phone pitching and email pitches
  • Writing

  • Be responsible for reviewing and editing all written materials developed by account team
  • Assist team members with fine-tuning their writing skills
  • Write and develop strategic, persuasive, client documents and presentations with strong attention to detail and little guidance
  • Write solid first drafts of senior level editorial assignments such as speeches, articles and opinion-editorials (op-eds)
  • Account Management / Delivery

  • Manage the flow of account work among junior team members to ensure that client objectives are met flawlessly and on time
  • Understand and respond to the complexities of accounts, with many moving parts and multiple tasks that need to be managed
  • Ability to keep an account moving and step into a senior role when required
  • Strong programme management skills (e.g. account management, profitability, workflow management)
  • Demonstrate an initial ability to provide strategic counsel where appropriate
  • Effective at downward delegation and upward management
  • Motivate the team and your direct reports to ensure the quality of your and the team's direct work
  • Show eagerness in the business side of the account
  • Leadership / Mentorship

  • Act as "brand champion" of the team and ensure that the staff is motivated, engaged and working to potential leading to positive upward reviews
  • Proactively give team members constructive feedback (identify, flag and solve problems)
  • Become involved in recruitment and evaluate potential new hires to determine if they would work well with Prosek
  • New Business

  • Shows interest in the new business initiatives in the firm and identifies opportunities for current client expansion, new business prospects from current / new clients and present ideas to senior managers
  • Collate / handle execution of presentation / capabilities decks and provide senior review
  • Firm Contribution

  • Market Prosek to your clients and contemporaries
  • Continue to participate actively in agency-wide events and activities and share good industry intelligence
  • You must be a visible culture ambassador and demonstrate the Prosek "if you see something, say something" attitude when it comes to maintaining office culture
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity for the craft of PR and the industries we serve and stays up-to-date on new PR tools / developments
