Purpose of the role
Develop the Product / Pricing function into a Global Centre of Excellence, with a strong commercial drive. Continue to establish the product management function in the UK and driving the product expansion in the other geographies, develop pricing capabilities and drive the innovation agenda for the business.
Ensure BFS proactively develop, deliver, manage, price and improve products and services globally making sure these products are rooted in clear customers’ needs, have a well-
defined role in the market and will drive growth as well as deliver strong and sustainable profitability for BFS.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
Continue to develop the dedicated team of product and pricing experts to provide thought leadership to the business in driving commercial value whilst keeping the customer needs at the centre.
Own end-to-end product management for the UK products, proactively identifying opportunity for improvement to ensure performance is optimised, get key stakeholders buy-in and drive execution
Lead the product and pricing related discussions with the UK CEO, the Commercial Directors and the MD of the various businesses.
Delivers improved profitability through product lifecycle management which is data and insight driven (initially UK only).
Continue to evaluate the model as countries grow assessing the need to have product resources in-country
Product Strategy & Governance
Formulate the global product strategy in conjunction with the business, get the buy-in and drive execution
Refine framework for taking new products to market and get buy-in from key stakeholders and continue to evolve the product governance to drive speed to market, ensure success in new product launches and ensure best practices are leveraged.
Product Expansion & Innovation
Work with the business to review of product portfolio and define a core product that should be available in all countries.
Drive the development of the core product set in each countries as per agreed prioritisation with the businesses and ensure this supports the country sustainable and profitable growth
Acts as product expert to guide countries in looking at and assessing new opportunities, ensuring the product address a market need, the product set-
up is sensitive to the local market conditions and client needs, and processes and structure leverage existing best practices
Work with countries to identify required changes to products, new market segments for existing products and provide expertise in looking at opportunities to expand product lines in country
Leads the identification and assessment of new product & services ideas and opportunities at global level to ensure BFS can concentrate on those that are most likely to yield material commercial impacts and once identified the product / service area to focus on, lead the development of the solution working with the Global leadership team and the relevant parts of the business.
Drives identification and development of new products not currently in BFS portfolio and that have synergies with existing offering and / or can leverage BFS global presence.
Drives new product development activity from concept through to post launch review and future product change activity.
Track performance of key KPIs by country
Lead global pricing strategy and governance to ensure active management of pricing. Clarify how pricing done in each country and ensure best practice sharing on pricing / margin initiatives.
Drive on-going improvement of costing model used, working with in-country resources.

Essential knowledge and experience
Extensive knowledge of the Bibby Product portfolio
10+ experience in product management function with end to end responsibility
Experience in leveraging price to drive commercial performance
Experience in leading a team of product / pricing experts
Demonstrated ability take new products to market with an end-to-end approach
Desirable knowledge / experience
Experience in working in a similar function on a global basis
