AnExperienced Assurance Engineer, preferably with Space industry experience, isrequired to join the existing Quality Assurance team at the Leonardo Southamptonsite ;
working with Project Managers, Customers, Design / Development teams, Operationsand Purchasing / Suppliers.
Therole is to support project teams on all aspects of product assurance, ensuringproduct quality, and the integrity of our design and manufacturing processes.
Carryout internal audits as part of overall internal audit plan. There are no linemanagement responsibilities.
Ensureall customer requirements are satisfied by effective assurance planning andimplementation.
SupportProjects and Design to resolve Quality Assurance issues, including reports andpresentations to management and cross functional teams.
Managementof Project Quality topics e.g. writing Assurance plans, failure analysis and workingto root cause, managing CofCs and concessions.
Undertakeinternal Quality audits.

Skills,Qualifications & Knowledge Required
Educatedto Degree level or equivalent in relevant science or engineering subject.
Practicalexperience working in a Quality Assurance / Project assurance discipline withinan engineering design and manufacturing environment.
Familiarwith Quality tools and techniques - (D)FMEA, Root cause analysis e.g. 8D,statistical techniques.
Experiencein a relevant manufacturing based industry (for example electronics, semiconductor,optical packaging, medical, automotive, Space or defence)
Effectivecommunicator with all levels of the business and customers.
ISO9001Experience (AS9100 preferred)
Ableto lead Product Assurance activities in a variety of product and functionalteams
Ableto lead root cause and corrective action activities
Familiarwith Space industry requirements
Thisis mainly an office based role using Display Screen Equipment but you will alsowork occasionally in a production area in a clean room environment.
Workingto tight deadlines either on a regular or ad hoc basis will be required.
Occasionaltravel within the UK and abroad with overnight stays may be required to visitCustomers and / or other Leonardo sites.
