Global Corporate and Specialty (GCS) have a vacancy for a Motor Trading Underwriter within the Northern Hub for brokers in the Manchester, Leeds and Scotland area.

GCS specialises in clients with Turnover of £100 million or above. This vacant role will join a second GCS Trading Motor Underwriter and also a team of Property and Casualty specialists in growing the Northern Hub.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key duties will include :

  • Maintaining, servicing and renewing existing GCS motor clients.
  • Winning new motor business and implementing, developing and growing key broker and client relationships, together with collaborating with Property, Casualty and Specialist Lines to provide a true cross-
  • class solution to GCS clients.

  • Duties will include a high level of external broker and client activity on both an existing an new business basis.
  • Skills & Experience required

    To be considered for this role, you must have :

  • Strong Motor underwriting experience.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills via tangible experience.
  • Strong teamwork attitude, problem solving and flexible underwriting approach.
  • Experience of broker and relationship management, preferable with the northern region international brokers, together with evidence of reasonable external experience.
