The Division of Midwifery and Radiography in the School of Health Sciences combines education and research in health and social care.

It develops highly competent practitioners who are equipped to be future healthcare leaders. Education is evidence-based and informed by research.

Positive relationships between students, patients, clinical practitioners and educationalists ensure Midwifery and Radiography programmes are academically robust and relevant to clinical practice.

Students consistently report high levels of satisfaction demonstrated by satisfaction scores in the National Student Survey 2017 : BSc Radiography (Diagnostic Imaging) 97%, BSc Radiography (Radiotherapy and Oncology) 96%, BSc Midwifery 85%.

Nursing and Radiography (Medical Technology) programmes are ranked first in London (Complete University Guide 2019).


The Division is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic to join the established Diagnostic Radiography team contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate diagnostic radiography education, course delivery and management.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have a professional background, experience in diagnostic radiography practice and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) (or the equivalent).

A record of producing world-leading or internationally excellent research is desirable.
